Mandiba recovering from broken ribs at Badminton

US event rider Karen O'Connor has confirmed that Mandiba broke six ribs in a fall at the Badminton Horse Trials last weekend.
Mandiba, O'Connor's World Equestrian Games and Olympic mount, is expected to make a full recovery and will head back to the US once he has healed enough to travel.

The 11-year-old Irish thoroughbred fell at the Outlander Bank, the 11th fence on the course. He had stopped twice at the previous fence, the Shogun Hollow, then stopped at the log at the top of the Outlander Bank at 11. O'Connor fell off, then Mandiba fell off the bank.
