The saddle Barbaro wore in last year's Kentucky Derby will be auctioned to raise cash for permanently disabled jockeys.

Jockey Edgar Prado's racing saddle - he only used this particular one for special races - was also used in winning the 2002 and 2004 Belmont Stakes.

The auction at the Mint Jubilee Gala will take place on May 4, just the night before the running of this year's Derby.

The saddle was donated by Prado to the Jockeys' Guild, with the money raised going to the Permanently Disabled Jockeys Fund, which helps support nearly 60 jockeys.
