Barbaro makes Belmont day TV appearance

Thanks to his daily improvement, Kentucky Derby winner Barbaro was allowed by his veterinarians to make a special televised appearance during coverage of the Belmont Stakes on Saturday, June 10.

"He is just fine," said Dr. Corinne Sweeney, "and he has been enjoying some homegrown carrots and sugar cubes today. We are very pleased with his progress."

The Belmont was the finale of horse racing's Triple Crown.
