The 11th annual FEI Sports Forum for 2022 is being held as an in-person event for the first time since 2019, but is also being streamed live and will be able to be watched on demand.
The forum is being held on April 25 and 26 at the IMD Business School in Lausanne, Switzerland.
This year also marks the 100th anniversary of the FEI, and those attending the FEI Sports Forum will be invited to celebrate the FEI’s centenary, with a special party held on the evening of April 26.
The first day of the FEI Sports Forum 2022 will have a prominent focus on the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Regulations with individual sessions for each discipline.
Forum attendees will also have an opportunity to hear progress reports from the Organising Committees of the FEI World Championships 2022 in Herning, Denmark, Pratoni del Vivaro and Verona (Italy), and learn about the digital campaigns and collaborative tools that will be used to engage fans worldwide.
The second day of the Sports Forum will continue with a session on FEI Event Standards, a project that aims to identify core technical aspects of FEI events and develop systems to ensure that the delivery of these meets the expectations of all stakeholders. The results of the survey that was conducted in this regard will be presented to inform this discussion.
There will also be sessions on the full revisions of the FEI Veterinary Regulations, FEI Eventing, Dressage and Para Dressage Rules.
Following last year’s session dedicated to Grooms, the official signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the FEI and the International Grooms Association will take place during the forum.
The FEI described this as “an important milestone for the Grooms community, who play a vital role in our sport and are crucial for the welfare of our horses”.
