Mullingar’s mega show: €100K prize pool for Irish international

A total prize fund of €100,000 is on offer at next month’s Mullingar International Horse Show in Westmeath in Ireland.
Organisers are preparing to host the ninth annual CSI2* show, which along with Dublin and Millstreet, is one of the only three annual international showjumping events in Ireland.
Running from June 3 to 6, the show is also hosting the final of the Bet Show Jumping Live Speed Championships and the inaugural Three-Year-Old Select Performance Competition and Sale.
Among the nearly 70 classes are the Puissance, Pro Am pairs relays, International Grand Prix, and young rider, working hunter, showing, and sportsmans. Jumping classes start from 60cm and go up to the very top level. A three-year-old Loose Jumping will be followed by an auction sale on Saturday evening, sponsored by the owners of showjumping stallion Koro D’Or.
Mullingar’s Robert Fagan said the show was grateful for the support it had received from lead sponsor Devenish and other loyal patrons and friends. He said a new range of sponsorship packages had been introduced this year, including a plan to allow sponsors to entertain guests at the ringside.
