Australian eventer Andrew Hoy will train Spain’s eventing teams starting with the country’s national championships, and until the end of 2016.
The four-time Olympic medalist will work closely with the team’s riders, as well as dressage and jumping coaches Miguel Jorda and Luis Astolfi.
Hoy is a veteran of seven Olympic Games, with three gold and one silver medal to his credit. He has three horses qualified for the Rio 2016 Olympic Games.
Hoy will train the team for two other events this year and is expected to be part of the sport’s development through 2017-18.
