A young stunt rider has died after being dragged by a horse during a performance at an at an acrobatic show in Russia.
Anastasiya Maximova, 24, was trapped by her right foot when she fell, causing the horse to panic and gallop around the arena. Other performers tried to stop the horse, but it ran into a spectator seating area, Britain’s Mirror newspaper reported.
She had been performing in a display of Cossack horsemanship in Abrau-Durso village in the Russia region of Krasnodar.
Once the horse was stopped Maximova was freed, but then died on the way to hospital from her injuries.
She was alive but died on the way to hospital from multiple injuires.
