Canada’s equestrian heritage will be on show throughout July, as Horse Experience 2015 is celebrated with more than 30 activities and events in Ontario over the month.
Horse Experience 2015 is centred north of Toronto in the Orangeville/Caledon area, where the equestrian competitions of the Toronto 2015 Pan American Games will take place from July 10 to 26.
The expo is an Equine Canada initiative, with events and activities, including competitions, exhibitions, farm tours, tours of education facilities, clinics, horse sales, and equi-tourism activities.
International visitors are invited to see what Canada has to offer in horses, genetics and expertise with farm, racetrack and education facility tours. They will also be able to check out hands-on exhibits with horses and learn about the many breeds of horses Canada has to offer. There is also the chance to participate, with trail rides, cattle drives, clinics, and more.
The Canadian Warmblood Horse Association and the Canadian Sport Horse Association are holding a joint horse sale from July 17 to 19 at the Orangeville Agricultural Society Event Center. Horses will be demonstrated, test-ridden and schooled over hunter, jumper and dressage courses.
Horse Experience 2015 will also host a screening of Zap Productions The Power Of 2, an inspiring documentary that follows the Canadian Dressage Team on the road to the 2011 Pan American Games.
