An extraordinary general assembly has been called by the FEI in Switzerland, to be held in conjunction with this year’s Sports Forum.
The assembly is expected to address the question of remuneration for FEI president Ingmar De Vos, who was elected president early last December.
The presidency of the FEI is currently a voluntary position, but De Vos argued during the election campaign that the role should be paid, citing the demands of a modern international sporting federation.
He proposed that the issue could be considered at a special general assembly in conjunction with the Sports Forum.
The Sports Forum will be held on April 27-28 at the International Management Development Institute in Lausanne. Registrations opened on March 9.
The extraordinary general assembly will be held at 9am on April 28.
The agenda and the final draft of proposals for amendments to the FEI Statutes and Internal Regulations will be available to member nations by March 30, the world governing body said.
