A Florida equestrian estate which features a spectacular barn has sold for $US6.5 million.
The property, listed by Marysue Jacobs, a broker with Destiny International Properties, sold in three months. It was originally put on the market at $US6.9 million.
The barn is more spectacular than most people’s homes.
The six-acre property is in the popular equestrian community of Wellington.
The farm, on the south side of a local saddle trail, is only five minutes on horseback from the showgrounds where the famous annual Winter Equestrian Festival is held.
The property comes with a large professional arena, which is completely irrigated and fitted with mirrors. It is big enough to accommodate both dressage and grand prix showjumpers.
The impressive barn features 12 enormous stalls and is well appointed. It is built with a center aisle and has 10 12 foot by 14 foot stalls, and an additional two 14 by 14 stables.
It includes a laundry, tack and feed rooms, a bathroom, a lounge and a groom’s apartment.
The property has plenty of room for adding to the existing barn. It is zoned for 24 stalls in total.
The estate is fully fenced with two electric gated entrances.
Beyond the farm’s pastures is easy access to Wellington’s riding trails.
