German dressage star Helen Langehanenberg is heading down under later this month for Australia’s annual Dressage & Jumping with the Stars event.

Run by Equestrian Victoria and PSI, the event brings together international icons and Australia’s rising equestrian stars at Werribee Park National Equestrian Centre from March 27 to 29.

It is quite a coup for organisers to secure Langehanenberg, who won individual silver at the London 2012 Olympic games, and is the FEI Dressage World Cup Champion. She will lead a demonstration on Thursday showing her approach to producing polished performances in dressage ponies. She will also take a dressage masterclass.

Other highlights of DJWTS include the Barastoc Young Jumping Horse Championships, and a Saddleworld Dressage and Jumping Masterclasses with leading European coach and rider Yves Houtackers. He will join Australian showjumperr Russell Johnstone on the Barastoc Young Jumping Horse Championships judging panel to evaluate competitors as they tackle Gavin Chester’s course; culminating in the judging of the Champion of Champions on Saturday afternoon.

Equestrian Victoria CEO Greg Pratt said the event was set to be the biggest of its kind to date, with record entries in both the Young Jumping Horse Championships and the Young Dressage Horse Championships.
