Two suffer neck injuries when carriage and car collide


PoliceTwo people suffered neck injuries in a collision between their pony and trap and a car in Surrey, England.

The incident occurred around 7.30pm on Friday in Blindley Heath as both vehicles were travelling along the A22 Eastbourne Rd.

Surrey Police said a woman in her late 30s was taken to East Surrey Hospital with neck injuries.

A man, also in his late 30s, was taken to St Georges Hospital in Tooting with face and neck injuries.

The A22 was closed in both directions for around three and a half hours while emergency crews attended the scene and an initial collision investigation was carried out.

The 60-year-old driver of the car was uninjured.
