Shetland pony shot in neck, euthanized

pittsburghState police in Pennsylvania are investigating the shooting of a Shetland Pony with a high-powered rifle.

The animal was struck in the neck and had to be euthanized.

Police said the shooting happened on Tuesday between midday and 3pm about 80 kilometres east of Pittsburgh.

The horse was owned by Lisa Adams, of Bolivar.

The police have appealed for information.
