Police in Britain launched a search for a rider after a hunter-sized horse was spotted on the run in full tack, but without a rider.
Police in Avon and Somerset began the search after a walker reported seeing the horse run past in the Nether Stowey area around 10.30am.
“It was saddled up but had no rider with it and was travelling from the direction of Woodlands Hill towards the Free Lords area,” the police said.
“The member of the public spent some time walking back in the direction the horse had come from but could not find the rider.”
The walker reported the incident to police shortly after 11.30 and inquiries to locate the horse and rider began.
Police said later that both the both horse and rider had been accounted for, and neither was injured.
