Excitement is growing in the Brony community as the date nears for the premiere of the third season of the cult animated series, My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic.
The new series will start on The Hub cable and satellite television network at 10am on Saturday, November 10.
It will premiere with a special two-part episode.
The children’s series has become a cult phenomenon, attracting a group of adult male fans who have become known as bronies – a combination of brothers and ponies.
The third season will see Twilight Sparkle and her friends travelling to the magical Crystal Empire that has mysteriously reappeared after a 1000-year-old curse caused it to vanish.
In the hour-long opener, entitled “The Crystal Empire”, Twilight Sparkle must find the Crystal Heart to restore the Empire to its full strength.
The new series is said to focus on Twilight Sparkle as she advances in her magical studies, but there will be plenty of action from Rainbow Dash, Rarity, Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie and Apple Jack.
My Little Pony Friendship is Magic is one of the most popular series on The Hub. It has won acclaim for its storytelling, relatable characters, clever nods to pop culture and catchy musical numbers, all centered around the messages of friendship and acceptance.
The show features the voice talent of Ashleigh Ball, Tabitha St. Germain, Nicole Oliver and Peter New.
The series’ premiere will also be supported through traditional and non-traditional off-channel media designed to drive in vieweers.
Viewers can host at-home premiere parties with the “My Little Pony Friendship is Magic” downloadable Playdate Premiere party packs that will be available at hubworld.com. The packs will include party invites, coloring sheets and recommended activities for viewers to host their own ultimate premiere parties.
Additionally, for the first time, The Hub will release new digital content for “My Little Pony Friendship is Magic”, including new games, printable material and videos every week of the season on hubworld.com.
