Equine Canada seeks new Director-at-large

Equine Canada is putting the feelers out for a new Director-at-large.

The Nominations Committee is seeking applications for the role, which will be voted on by Equine Canada’s membership. Elections start on Friday, December 14 and end on January 10, 2013. Results will be announced at the 2013 Equine Canada General Meeting.

Equine Canada’s Nominations Committee is composed of a Chair who is appointed by the Board of Directors, and representatives from each of the four Equine Canada division councils.

It is seeking candidates who possess passion and drive to work with other committed volunteer board members to build and enhance equine activities (sport, industry and recreation) in Canada on its Policy Governance Board. The Board of Directors meets twice a year face-to-face and monthly via conference calls.

Knowledge in equine activities and strategic expertise in various aspects of non-profit governance is deemed an asset. Functioning on the Board requires logical, innovative, forward thinking individuals able to work well in a team.
