A man has died from injuries suffered in a campdrafting accident at the Gin Gin showgrounds in southern Queensland.
Mark Elliot, 21, from Biggenden, southwest of Bundaberg, died in a Brisbane hospital from his injuries.
He was thrown from his horse while competing on Sunday at a campdraft event at the showgrounds.
Police in Bundaberg will present a report on the accident to the local coroner.
Australian Campdraft Association president Sean Dillon offered condolences to the family of Elliot, who was a member of the association.
“The thoughts and prayers of the campdrafting community are with the family at this traumatic stage,” Dillon said.
