British Eventing is looking to reschedule the Mitsubishi Motors Grassroots Championships.
British Eventing is looking to incorporate the Mitsubishi Motors Grassroots Championships into another event later this year.

Britain’s Grassroots Championships may be incorporated into another competition later this season, following the cancellation of the Badminton Horse Trials.

Badminton Horse Trials Event Director Hugh Thomas said the Grassroots Championships are organised as an integral part of Badminton, sharing services and infrastructure. “To stage them as a stand-alone competition would not be viable, either financially or logistically.”

British Eventing Chief Executive Mike Etherington-Smith added: “One thing no-one can control is the weather but we are exploring all avenues to see what can be done to provide additional competition opportunities for our members and this includes rescheduling the Grassroots Championships.”

British Eventing confirmed to competitors eligible for the 2012 Mitsubishi Motors Badminton Grassroots Championships that they would remain eligible for any potential replacement fixture.
