Blenheim Horse Trials has altered the layout of its trade stand village in accommodate retailers who were part of the cancelled Badminton horse trials.

The Fidelity Blenheim Horse Trials, from September 6 to 9,  is also offering flexible payments terms for trade exhibitors.

“We understand that many exhibitors will be hugely out of pocket having bought in a large amount of stock and already committed to all the associated staff, display and accommodation costs,” said Event Director Mandy Hervieu.

“So we are trying to do what we can to help. We have had the experience of cancelling an event ourselves due to adverse weather and know how it affects all stakeholders.”

John Harvey of Horses in Sport, who exhibit at both events, said: “It’s our livelihood attending events. We are gutted that Badminton has been cancelled but understand that it’s a risk for all outdoor events.  It’s a real help to us when the sport works together and we find supportive and empathetic events, like Blenheim and Badminton, who you know will do all they can for the trade stands as well as their public, competitors  and volunteers.”
