Paint thoroughbred fails to fire in first start

Bay and white pinto thoroughbred Modern Society didn’t get his nose in front at his first raceday start, at Kempton Park yesterday.
Running in the 1.35pm two-year-old maiden, the overo son of I Was Framed finished 17 lengths adrift of the fast-finishing winner, Baileys Jubilee. He was ridden by Brett Doyle.
Modern Society is trained by Andrew Scott, who has the distinction of running London’s only racing yard. His Highwood Lodge stables are only eight and a half miles from Trafalgar Square.
