A clone of top showjumper and sire Zandor Z has been born in France.

Zandor Z, a Zangersheide bred stallion of anglo-arab and warmblood pedigree, was ridden to international success by Jos Lansink from 1999 to 2002.

He earned the titles “Sire of the World” in 1998, and “Best Stallion” in 1999.

The colt clone was born on November 26 last year. The birth was announced today by cloning specialist Cryozootech.

Zandor Z is the sire of Edwina Tops-Alexander’s Zorro Z, Mario Deslauriers’ Urico, and Kevin Staut’s Zeta de Hus Z.
