Pam Fisher’s 10-year-old thoroughbred gelding Out To Sea was euthanised today after suffering an injury at the Bit of Britain/USEA American Eventing Championships.

Out To Sea — known as Sailor at home — was the first horse out on the cross-country in the preliminary division when he slipped on a turn between fences. The injury was deemed irreparable and he was euthanised at the Kendall Road Equine Hospital.

The combination won the Area 9 Preliminary Championships at the Northern Colorado Horse Trials in August.
