Voltaire II is a beautiful and superbly bred Dutch Warmblood stallion who now stands in residence at Astek Stud. His famous sire "Voltaire" and equally famous dam-sire "Nimmerdor" have made a terrific impact on sporthorse performance worldwide, especially in the jumping disciplines. Voltaire II's pedigree also contains the superior sires Furioso II (Han), Gotthard (Han), Farn (KWPN) and the highly influential Thoroughbred sires Furioso, Precipitation and Fairway.
Voltaire II has a very attractive head with correct, athletic conformation, eyecatching white markings and medium bone. He has a terrific temperament and his movement is elevated, effortless and ground covering with natural spring and scope. He displays excellent jumping technique - just like his famous relatives! His beautiful looks, huge scope and athleticism, wonderful character and smart jumping ability are all being passed onto his progeny.
Voltaire II's progeny have already won many National titles in Showjumping, Eventing, Dressage and Show Hunter, as well as Supreme Champions in the show-ring. Well known performers include "Gordon" (winner of FEI World Cup Eventing Qualifier 2005 & 2006), "Veritas" (Prix St George Challenge Winner 2006 & 2007), "Vancouver" (winner of 2007 Horse Of The Year Puissance class & Grand Prix showjumper), Indigo SL (5yo Showjumping series winner 2004), "Vienna SL" (6yo Show Hunter title winner 2004), plus many more.
His progeny performances have upgraded him to "Principle" status in the NZWHA studbook.
