AD Pony Stud News

July 13, 2009

by Amy deLangen

We would like to take this opportunity to thank those breeders who choose Hilken's Denali (German Riding Pony Stallion) for their mares this season. We are lucky to have in foal to Denali some fantastic well bred and well performed pony and hack mares. We would love to meet some of you and of course your Denali babies this coming season. The first mare due to foal this 2008/2009 season is our own, a lovely Arab/Welsh mare (Mini) due to foal late August.

Denali has proven his fantastic temperament time and time again. He is such an easy breeder, a blessing when you have to shoot off to the breeding centre at short notice to collect for a mare, taking in tow a young family along for the ride ... it makes for interesting conversation on the way home when I have to explain to the kids why Denali was hugging a pole!

Denali will be 4 years old in April and will be competing with rider Nicolette Barrett at NZEF competitions. Nicolette is a full time instructor, equine trainer and can be seen out at dressage competitions with various mounts.

Nicolette and Denali make an impressive team and from April Nicolette beame Denali's full time rider/trainer along with her other equestrian commitments.

We are proud to have such a lovely pony in our paddocks are excited to see what the future has in store for Denali and his progeny.

We update our website regularly with news, photos and videos which can be viewed on www.adponystud.co.nz
