Brigette Learmonth - merely 14yrs old - has had great results with the gelding Lord Largerfeld (Falkensee/Leibesgabe - breeders Peter & Heike McLean) at Open Medium Level at NZ Champs and HOY. She also won the FEI childrens section and represented N Z at the PSI sponsored finals at Hagen in Germany where she won over-all in that section - riding three different horses and placing 1,2 and 3! Brigette also rode her mother's horse to be the overall Champion of the Horse Power Young Dressage Horse final at Taupo in March. The horse is Grunelius Legacy (pictured) - by Graf Landau (Hann.) out of a Winterkoenig mare - bred in Australia by Holger Schmorl at Kinnordy Stud and imported to New Zealand by Angela Learmonth as a three-year-old. Joanna York - on her Falkensee/Auk xx gelding, Kiteroa Kingston (breeders - James and Vanessa Hart in Cambridge) was the winner of the Prix St Georges Trophy for the first year star at that level. Joanna is also on the Dressage NZ Elite squad with this horse.
