About Tallyho Connemaras  

The Tallyho Stud is located at Coopers Creek, near Oxford in North Canterbury. We are 45 minutes inland from Christchurch in a beautiful foothills area with lots of native bush, bird life, creeks and waterfalls and the Southern Alps as a back drop. We are fortunate to have wonderful places to ride and great hills for our youngstock to grow up on.

We have been breeding horses and ponies for many years now and are fortunate to be able to break in and train all our own young stock on the farm.

We use our horses and ponies for hunting to hounds, showjumping, competitive trail and endurance riding, showing in hand and under saddle, cattle and sheep mustering and loan them to local children for Pony Club. Recently we have become interested in polo, so watch out for the Connemara influence here in the future too!

We pride ourselves in producing a line of clever, athletic, trustworthy horses and ponies that the whole family can ride and enjoy.
