Arabian Park Tycoon
AP Egyptian Magnetic x AP Persian Queen
Liver chestnut purebred, 59% Crabbet, #2672 18/9/84 - 30/04/06

Arabian Park TycoonArabian Park Tycoon was bred by Paul James at the renowned Arabian Park stud in Australia.

Arabian Park horses held supreme in the Australian show rings for many years, and many notable horses were bred there. These included Arabian Park Egyptian Magnetic, Tycoon's sire and a big part of many black Arabian breeding programmes; and the beautiful Arabian Queen, one of those fabulous Banderol daughters and Tycoon's granddam.

With the Crabbet/Egyptian mix that I like (59% Crabbet), Tycoon is everything I look for in a stallion. He is athletic and balanced, and a very elegant horse. He has presence and lovely elevated movement with natural self-carriage, correct conformation and an uncompromising loyalty.

All these characteristics are passed onto his youngstock, making them excellent saddle horses.

Standing 15.1hh, Tycoon also passes height onto his offspring; many of his purebreds have grown to well over 15hh, and his anglos and partbreds tend to be taller again.

Tycoon was a Champion led horse and has sired Champion show stock - purebred, partbred and anglo, led and ridden. These include Rosewood Vedema, National Top Five Champion Led Purebred Youngstock; and Rosewood Sonata, National Reserve Champion Partbred/Anglo Youngstock. Tycoon is, in particular, well liked and used by endurance riders, as added to his build and temperament is a standing heartrate of 27.

Tycoon has sired foals for endurance around New Zealand and in Australia. The New Zealand horses are now out competing, and over the next few years there will be several of them out and about. These will be horses to watch, as I believe the Tycoon progeny have the makings of outstanding endurance stock.
