New on Horsetalk
Issue number 39 - August 2010
Our readers have expressed outrage over the cruel overnight dumping of a starving mare in a Los Angeles street. Investigators are going door to door in the hunt for clues.
We have two miracles tales of survival, that of Pearl, who suffered a terrible injury that left her with a hole in her head, and Sugar, a starved Belgian draft who was down for more than a week before rallying.
We bring you coverage of the Mongol Derby, results from the Pride of Poland Arabian sale, dramatic twists in the tale of the parasailing donkey and the latest on Kiwi equestrians performing overseas.
If mud rash is proving a hassle, we've got great advice to counter this infuriating condition.
Happy reading!

The ancient and vaguely shady art of horsetrading
You've gotta love horse-trading. Horses have been domesticated for about 5000 years and I suspect the first victim of a shonky deal was found about a day later. His name is lost in the shadows of history but, without doubt, as soon as we had horses, we suddenly had horse traders. Cranking up the lightness and grace in dressage
Well darlings, it seems my last post on showjumping bridling struck a nerve with many people. But I think there may be an even bigger controversy brewing among our dressage friends. |
