New Zealand's racing industry is seeking a new chief stipendiary steward as part of its new and independent Racing Integrity Unit.
The unit is being established to bring together current integrity functions within each of the three racing codes - thoroughbred, harness and greyhound.
The unit will be charged with protecting the integrity of the racing industry in New Zealand. It will be responsible for providing prosecution services under the Rules of Racing for each code.
The chief stipendiary steward is responsible for the management of racing integrity across all three codes.
The office holder is also responsible for the overall operation of the function of stipendiary stewards and racing investigators, ensuring that racing within New Zealand operates in accordance with legislative requirements and in adherence to the respective Rules of Racing.
The closing date for applications is September 17.
