Bechtolsheimer will ride Mistral Hojris, with Andretti H as her reserve horse. She is joined by Fiona Bigwood and Wie Atlantico, Maria Eilberg and Two Sox, and Carl Hester riding Liebling II.

Henriette Andersen (Louis D'Or III) and Emile Faurie (Elmegardens Marquis) are the non-travelling reserves.

"This is yet another strong quartet, mostly composed of last year's silver medal winning team," said Dressage Team Captain Richard Davison. "Whilst Laura is ranked third in the world, the other riders have had to fight hard for their place and I am confident they will deliver the goods in Kentucky."

The World Equestrian Games includes the eight disciplines of dressage, eventing, showjumping, para-equestrian dressage, driving, endurance, reining and vaulting. The British riders taking part in the Olympic and Paralympic sports are supported by lottery funding via UK Sport but the non-Olympic sports of driving, endurance, reining and vaulting, although supported where possible by the World Class Programme staff during the World Equestrian Games, do not receive direct funding for the event from the Programme.

A variety of fundraising initiatives have been launched to help support the trip to Kentucky for all the British teams. These include an online auction with new exclusive lots added each month and Team GBR merchandise on sale which ranges from clothing to a recently launched silver bracelet; donations are made to the teams for all items sold.

The Games take place in Kentucky, USA from Saturday 25th September to Sunday 10th October with the dressage competition taking place between Monday 27th September and Friday 1st October.
