A three-year-old Illinois boy has died from injuries after a rearing horse fell on him.
The victim was Amier Sanchez, who lived in Chicago. He was pronounced dead at St Mary Medical Centre in Hobart little more than an hour after the accident.
The incident happened in Portage Township. It is understood the horse's owner had brought a friend and that person's son, Amier, to see the horse at a boarding property.
Amier was placed on the horse, which reared and threw the boy, and then fell on top of him.
