Endurance rider pulls out of World Equestrian Games

Reigning national and North Island endurance champion Sue Reid has withdrawn from the New Zealand team going to the World Equestrian Games later this year.

Pokeno-based Reid was to have ridden Makahiwi Achilles, who is owned by Phillipa Mutch, at the event.

Equestrian Sports New Zealand announced Reid's withdrawal on Friday. No reason was given for Reid's withdrawal.

The NZ Endurance Team still comprises of the following four combinations:
Alison Higgins - Twynham El Omar
Jenny Champion - Freckles
Debby Worsfold - Northwinds Bradley McGregor
Jenny Chandler - Lace and Fineness

The top three times count toward final team results at WEG.
