German dressage rider Isabell Werth is back in the saddle after the birth of her son on October 30.

The Olympic gold medallist, who was suspended in June following a positive doping test to her horse, Whisper, will make her return to competition in January 2010 at the CDI-W Amsterdam, according to Eurodressage.com.

Werth, 40, was last out with Satchmo in June, where the combination won the Grand Prix and the GP Special at an event in Lingen, Germany.

Her suspension ends on December 23.
