The saddle of Olympic dressage champion Rembrandt has been given to Aachen's CHIO-Museum by rider Nicole Uphoff-Selke.

Rembrandt, who won individual and team gold medals at the 1988 and 1992 Olympic Games, was also World and European champion and retired in 1996.

Uphoff-Selke travelled to Aachen to give the saddle to the museum this week.

"It is a saddle with a long history - and I cannot imagine a better place for it than the CHIO-museum," she said.

The saddle is a pleasing addition to the museum. "Truly there are only very few sportswomen and sportsmen like Nicole," CHIO Aachen director Frank Kemperman said.
