Man strangled after tying himself to donkey

November 25, 2009

A man in Zimbabwe who tied himself to his donkey was dragged to his death, the state-backed newspaper, The Herald, reports.

The Harare publication said Provident Ndimande, from Filabusi, died around 11am on Saturday in the incident.

Ndimande had tied himself to his donkey with a rope around his waist after he found the animal, which had been missing for some days.

However, his dogs began chasing the donkey and he was dragged when the animal fled.

He tried to remove the rope from his waist but it slipped up to his neck and strangled him.

His body was dragged into bush near a village, where two boys came to his aid, but found him dead.
