Soccer player opts for horse placenta treatment

A British soccer star with an ankle injury is hoping that horse placenta rubbed on the area will help its recovery.

Arsenal striker Robin van Persie, 26, is reportedly heading to Belgrade for the treatment by a doctor.

His ankle injury threatens to keep him out of the game for six weeks.

The Sun newspaper quoted the soccer star as saying he was prepared to give it a try. "If it helps, it helps," he said.
