New director for Canada's Equine Guelph

November 19, 2009

Gayle Ecker

Gayle Ecker has been named Managing Director of Equine Guelph, part of Ontario's University of Guelph.

"On behalf of our council, I would like to pass on congratulations to Gayle," says Dr. Moira Gunn, Co-chair of the Equine Guelph Advisory Council.

"It is wonderful that she is being rewarded for her groundbreaking work at Equine Guelph. In just six short years, she and her team have built an organization that is truly benefiting the equine industry."

Since its inception in 2003, Ecker has acted as Senior Manager of Equine Guelph.

Ecker has combined her teaching background, education in science and love for horses as a foundation for the building blocks of Equine Guelph.

Equine Guelph is the horse owners' and care givers' Centre at the University of Guelph. It is a unique partnership dedicated to the health and well-being of horses, supported and overseen by equine industry groups.
