Police in Scotland are inquiring into attacks in which three horses had their tails cut off.
"We want to ensure the people behind these crimes are stopped," said Chief Inspector Kevin Findlater, of Central Scotland Police.
The incidents occurred between Tuesday, October 27, and Tuesday, November 10, in fields in Thornhill, in rural Stirling.
"We are keen to speak to anyone who saw anything suspicious or who has information regarding these incidents," Findlater said.
"This not only poses a risk to the horses themselves but causes considerable distress to the horse's owners," he said.
