Sales of 2010 World Equestrian Games tickets strong

September 30 2009

Tens of thousands of tickets for the 2010 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games were sold within three hours of the start of public ticket sales.

Games organisers predicted part-way through the opening day of sales that more than 20 per cent of tickets for the Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games would be reserved.

Kentucky.com reported that three days after tickets went on sale on September 25, more than 100,000 had been sold, accounting for more than a third of ticketing's revenue goal.

The Kentucky event, which will feature eight world championships in equestrian sport, will be held from late September.
