Australia's triple Olympic gold medalist Andrew Hoy is to host a cross-country walk and lunchtime talks and conduct a Master Coaching Class at the Sydney Three-Day Event next month.

Hoy, who is now based in Germany, will also judge the Australian Young Event Horse classes.

On Friday, September 11, Hoy will team up with top dressage rider Roger Fitzhardinge to judge the future stars of Eventing in the Australian Young Event Horse classes. Later that evening he will run a Master Class in the indoor arena, demonstrating his training techniques for the novice to advanced eventer.

On the hosted cross-country walks Hoy will explain the technical aspects of riding the CCI*** course and at lunchtime on Saturday and Sunday he will speak about Eventing across the world in the Adina Vineyard Cafe.

The Sydney event is one of the major selection opportunities for the World Equestrian Games in 2010 and the London Olympics in 2012. Visiting riders from Asia will also be at the event, competing in the Asian Cup.
