They breed chihuahuas tough in Australia. Or so it seems after the remarkable tale of Berry, whose head was accidentally trodden on by his 900kg clydesdale buddy, Leroy.

Berry's 24-year-old owner, Abbey Newton, took her unconscious dog to the vet, who reportedly gave the animal only 24 hours to live and suggested euthanizing her might be the best option.

However, she decided to take Berry home and next morning she awoke, got up, and ate Abbey's other dog's breakfast.
