Singer Leona Lewis has been head-butted by her horse, joining
Madonna as the second celebrity in two weeks to come to grief at the hands of an equine.
The Bleeding Love singer was reportedly standing beside her horse - apparently a birthday gift from friends - when something startled it.
It flicked its head and struck Lewis in the face, knocking her to the ground.
She was badly shaken and suffered a split lip in the incident, which occurred in Los Angeles.
The accident has reportedly forced a delay to the recording of her new album while she recovers.
Lewis, a former winner of the TV show, The X Factor, was forced to cancel the recording of her new album while she recovered from the knock at home.
