British Eventing says it is still reviewing data on cross-country accidents as it prepares to reluctantly follow the FEI's "one fall and out" rule.

Stewards will implement the rule change from August 1, but British Eventing has reserved the right to reverse the decision if there is not sufficient data or evidence to support the implementation of the rule change.

BE is reviewing data since 2003 covering riders that have fallen off and subsequently remounted and continued as per the current rule. It is also in the process of obtaining clarification as to the company's legal position following the ruling from the FEI.
