What makes this horse, Profile In Style, so unusual is that he is a frame overo. There are only a handful of thoroughbreds in the world with this gene, according to Peta Oxenbridge of Racing Colours Farm, which is situated in the Central Tablelands of NSW.

The colt's sire, Ellusive Quest would have to be one of the flashiest looking thoroughbreds in the world today. He is by Sonny's Solo Halo (unraced) by Halo. Halo is the sire of Sunny's Halo ($US1,247,791) and Preakness and Kentucky Derby winner Sunday Silence. Sonny's Solo Halo is out of Softly, the winner of $US112,568 who has produced 100% winners to runners. Ellusive Quest's racing career was cut due to the untimely death of his brother Racey Remarque. In a short race career Ellusive Quest ran fourth in his first career start, and had the fastest time out of 27 racehorses for official work at Turf Paradise as a three-year-old.

Profile In Style's dam Dance Dub L is sired by Shantariat (by Secretariat). She is out of Dance Spot, a coloured mare with winnngs of $US47,925. Dance Spot is also the dam of the overo thoroughbred stallion I Was Framed (by Racey Remarque), who now stands at stud in Ireland.

Profile In Style is expected to mature at 16.2hh, and because he was born to Northern Hemisphere time he will have spent little time as a two-year-old before being classed as a three-year-old this August.

Racing Colours Farm has opted to put the colt to stud this season before his first preparation in the New Year. His offspring have a 50% chance of being coloured.

He is registered with the Jockey Club (JC), Australian Stud Book (ASB), American Paint Horse Association (APHA), Paint Horse Association of Australia (PHAA) and Australian Stock Horse Society (ASHS pending). Upon breaking he will be registered Australian National Saddlehorse Association (ANSA) and upon maturing will be classified with the Australian Warmblood Horse Association (AWHA).

Racing Colours Farm has also purchased a boldly marked mare by the Sadler's Wells shuttle stallion, King of Kings (IRE); and out of the imported, well performed Miswaki / Spectacular Bid mare, Blue And Green (USA). She has a similar white belly marking to Profile In Style, a big blaze and hind stockings.
