A thoroughbred in New Mexico has equalled the record for the number of consecutive racing wins. Peppers Pride became the sixth racehorse (non harness) to win 16 races in a row, with her success in a $75,000 race at at SunRay Park on Saturday.

The five-year-old Desert God mare joins Citation, Cigar, Mister Frisky, Hallowed Dreams and Got Country Grip in winning 16 races in a row. Got Country Grip, a paint horse, was defeated at his last start to end his winning run.
