There are 47 horses entered in the event, including three-time winner Kim Severson, this year riding Tipperary Liadhnan, and Karen O'Connor riding the world famous Theodore O'Connor. The 14.1hh gelding was third at Lexington last year and took double gold at the Pan American Games in Brazil in 2007.
Australian riders Boyd Martin (Neville Bardos and Ying Yang Yo) and Cammy O'Rourke (Kirby Park Irish Jamie) are the sole Southern Hemisphere representatives at the event.

There are 40 horses from 14 nations entered at Bialy Bor, most of them looking to achieve either Olympic qualification or last minute World Ranking Points, to increase their chance of getting an individual place in Hong Kong. Foreign riders include former European Silver medallist and World Cup Champion, Linda Algotsson, riding Stand By Me and 2007 Italian Team Bronze medallist Susanna Bordone riding Ava and Carrera III.
