The Kentucky Horse Council recently awarded six $250 grants to 4-H Horse Clubs throughout Kentucky. The grants provide Horse Learning Laboratory kits and other equine educational materials to support 4-H Horse Bowl participants.

4-H club members in Bullitt, Calloway, Fayette, Oldham, Washington, and Scott counties are utilizing the new learning tools as they prepare for upcoming competitions which will test their knowledge of horse anatomy, health, care, and more.

"The Kentucky Horse Council is committed to educating the next generation of horse owners," commented board president, Madelyn Millard. "Supporting Kentucky 4-H Horse Clubs is a natural dovetail for the work of the Horse Council."

The Kentucky Horse Council also offers scholarships to Kentucky students and has newly developed youth membership and programs.
