With the ILPH Podcast an expert can help horse owners through the fat scoring process.

The International League for the Protection of Horses (ILPH) Right Weight Road Show has a new podcast which is available via their website.

The fat scoring podcast offers owners the opportunity to have an expert with them whilst they fat score their horse for the first or the 21st time. By downloading this onto an MP3 player, owners can have an expert helping them learn to assess the weight of their horse.

Project leader Samantha Lewis said: "We already have a Right Weight video on our website as well as a leaflet we can send out but we realised something was missing. We felt that if you could listen to someone whilst actually having a go at fat scoring, owners would be able to understand exactly what we were talking about and how this relates to their own horses."

The Right Weight Road Show is in its second year. Samantha added: "We've been thrilled with the response from both the industry and horse owners to this project and we've discovered since taking the road show out and about that people are very keen to learn."
