Caerba Legacy was successfully graded as a purebred Irish Draught (GB) Stallion on 19 February 2003. He was successfully shown as a foal and yearling winning in both Hunter and Irish Draught classes.
Caerba Legacy's sire 'Pride of Meath' is a sire of show jumpers, eventers, dressage and show horses. His dam 'Caerba May Girl' has won many Championships in both Irish Draught and Hunter classes and is a Hornby Select Mare. Her sire Touch of the Blues (RID) is an influential sire of ID horses, and has now been sold to the USA.
Two foals were produced in New Zealand from Caerba Legacy (RID) by frozen semen in 2007, both inseminated at Equibreed facilities in Matamata. A filly produced by Maple Run Farm in Kumeu is out of a registered Irish Sport Horse mare, MRF Irish Melody (by Irish Guard.) MRF Penny Whistle (pictured below) is a large-boned golden filly with an intelligent, want-to-please attitude. The second foal is a colt named 'Paddy' out of a thoroughbred mare.
Caerba Legacy (RID) foals have a reputation of being big-boned, beautifully put together and with a gentle, willing demeanor. His son, Toux Pegasus, was recently awarded a Grade 1 stallion rating.
For a great cross with Kingsway Diamond and Laughton's Legend mares to compliment and enhance the Irish bloodlines, or to produce a first-cross sporthorse with a thoroughbred mare, Caerba Legacy (RID) is a young stallion that produces excellent bone, temperament and quality.
