Show
rules
- Competitors
must be able to produce Proof of Registration on Show Day. Current RAS
height certificates must also be made available on request. Failure to
produce either of these will lead to forfeiture of prizes.
- No
entry will be accepted if the name of the exhibit is not shown.
- Entries
must be accompanied with full fees to be accepted.
- Entry
fee for each class is set at $10.00 per exhibit discounted to $6.00 if paid
by closing date.
- Entries
close TBC with The Secretary, C/- P O Box 14161, Hamilton 3252.
- Entries
will be accepted on the day. Extra entries from horses already entered
which will incur 25% loading on the entry fee.
New entries will incur 50% loading on the entry fee.
For prize money to be awarded in any class they must have catalogued
entries.
The Organising Committee reserves the right to substitute prizes for prize
money.
- A
ground fee of $5.00 per horse/pony will be paid, with a maximum fee of
$15.00 per exhibitor.
- Limited
stabling is available at $15 per box per night, straw $14 per bale.

Must be booked with entries.
* Boxes not left clean will incur a penalty of $100. *
- Any
person who is in arrears with regard to entry fees, will not be eligible to
compete.
- The
Chief Steward reserves the right to exclude unruly animals.
- The
Organising Committee will endeavor to keep to the timetable, however the
Chief Steward reserves the right to alter either, the time advertised in
the official timetable, or the order of any event as they may deem
advisable, and there shall be no appeal or protest against such a decision.
- The
Organising Committee reserves the right, in accordance with Breed Society
rules, to amalgamate, split or delete classes as they see fit and there
shall be no appeal or protest against such a decision. If there are less
than three catalogued entries in a Breed they will be combined with another
similar Breed.
- The
decision of the Judge is final.
- All
protests will be placed in writing and submitted to the protest committee
within 30 minutes of the incident, together with a $50.00
cash protest fee.
- Presentation
and restraint of exhibits is to be in accordance with the show regulations
of the respective breed societies.
- Colts
& stallions, 12 Months and over, must be in the appropriate harness
prescribed by the Breed Society they are registered with, handled by a
competent person and wear a stallion tag on their halter. Stallions must be
stabled or suitably contained.
- Saddle
Hunter Hacks/Ponies cannot enter Hack/Show pony classes.
- Suitable
footwear must be worn.
- If
promised sponsorship is not forthcoming the Show cannot be held
responsible.
- Refunds
less 20% may be made if accompanied by a Veterinarian's or Doctor's
certificate if notified in writing one day prior to the class and will be
paid out one month after the show.
- LIABILITY:
The Organising Committee accepts no liability for any accident, damage,
injury or illness to horses, owners, handlers, grooms, or spectators, or to
any other personal property whatever. Each exhibitor must supervise and
control their animals at all times and shall be liable for any hazards
created or accident, illness or damage caused by the action of themselves
or their animals at the Showgrounds. Exhibitors must comply with the
appropriate Animal Legislation and the Health and Safety in Employment Act
1992.
- Catalogues
must be paid for with entries.
- Testing
for forbidden substances may be carried out.
- Date
of birth for all animals is 1st August.
- If
there are insufficient entries in any section for competition, classes may
be amalgamated.
- Championships
will only be awarded when two or more Exhibits parade.
- Exhibitors
must supply their own exhibit numbers.
- Exhibitors
must send a stamped addressed envelope with their entries to confirm
entries and enable notification of exhibit numbers.
Run
under these rules and any relevant Breed Society rules.
